Steve Hearsum
Steve launched Deboxing in 2009, having spend 7 years working as a consultant and just finished a Masters in Change Agent Skills & Strategies at Surrey University, where his primary research focus was on the significance of interpersonal fit between buyers and sellers in Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence.
Steve is a consultant, facilitator and coach who helps clients to see the big picture. With a knack for drawing out underlying issues, he empowers clients to find sustainable solutions to the challenges they face. A coffee fan and curious as to why he could never find a decent cappuccino when he wanted one, Steve began searching for the perfect blend of bean, grinder, milk and steam, and the best way to combine them. The interconnectedness of ingredients and process has become a governing philosophy for him. Applying this to organisations, and concerned with cultural and interpersonal ‘fit’, or how to integrate people with technology or processes, he noticed that clients often seem preoccupied with putting things in boxes. They overlook the relationship between the ingredients and how they are combined, or the resultant impact on authenticity and, ultimately, performance. Helping clients to debox themselves and their organisation, Steve brings about real change and business innovation, and an ability to seek out the good beans.
